What Toker is

Toker is a software platform for discovery, rewards, merchandise and giveaways serving the South African cannabis retail sector. We connect adults who are legally able to visit cannabis shops with the shops nearest to them, and we provide the software tools that help those shops grow — a verified directory, a Day Pass digital access key, a community ratings system, monthly competitions, and a Toker-branded merchandise marketplace (fulfilled via third-party dropship and dropservice providers — Toker does not hold inventory or perform delivery in-house).

Toker is a directory service. We help you find a shop. We do not promote, endorse, or facilitate the sale of cannabis or any other controlled substance.

What Toker is NOT

  • Toker is not a cannabis retailer, wholesaler, distributor, transporter, cultivator, or producer.
  • Toker does not sell cannabis, cannabis products, or anything sold by a shop on the Platform. Toker does sell Toker-branded merchandise (t-shirts, accessories, and similar goods) via third-party dropship and dropservice providers — see the Delivery Policy. Toker does not take title to the merchandise and does not perform the delivery in-house.
  • Toker does not deliver cannabis or arrange delivery on behalf of any shop.
  • Toker does not promote cannabis or cannabis products. Where a shop lists categories such as "Vape", "Hookah", "Cigars", or "Smoking Accessories" in its directory listing, those categories describe the type of shop — they are not product listings, promotions, or endorsements.
  • Toker is not a payment or financial services provider. All payment processing is performed by independent, regulated third-party payment processors.

How Toker is operated

Toker is operated by four revenue streams. Shops pay an annual listing fee to be in the directory, and can also pay to host or be featured in Platform events (including monthly competitions and Toker-run promotions). End users pay a small in-app Day Pass to unlock a shop's full profile for the day, and can buy Toker-branded merchandise through the Platform — fulfilled via third-party dropship and dropservice providers. Toker does not charge a transaction fee or take a cut of any in-shop purchase.

What we believe

Adults should be able to find a trustworthy local shop without guessing. Legal cannabis retailers deserve the same software tools as any other legal retail category. Transparency — published policies, a real address, real people behind the brand — is a feature, not a cost.
